The time to prepare for war is not on the battlefield.

Ephesians 6:13
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."

When you find yourself surrounded by the enemy, there is a boldness in knowing you are prepared for battle. On the battlefield however, is not the place to find out what you don't know. For example, if your not winning souls now (which is a battle), and you are selfish, then when tough times come you will become more selfish. We are all in a war. When many go to battle to save our great nation, they fight that others may live. You and I must do the same. We must evangelize now to get people out of this world alive. Preparing for war is sacrificial. Soldiers don't have the same privileges as those that are not enlisted.

​Still there are times like we are seeing in the Ukraine right now, where we can be thrown into battle unprepared. At these times we have to rely on what we know deep down on the inside of us. We must trust ourselves to the only one who can save us. This is why I have been sharing all week on reading your Bible and spending time with God. These times with our Lord and Savior will be the difference maker when we find ourself on the battlefield of life.

ACTION STEP:  Prepare for war now. Prepare yourself for the battles of this life. Learn now how to live as a good soldier. We do not always get to pick our battles, sometimes they pick us.
