“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
The very next verse tells us WHY and HOW God works for the good in all things.
Romans 8:29
“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son”
That means the “good” that God works toward in our difficulties isn’t necessarily an eventual blessing or a realized dream, but the transformation of our character into Christ’s.
Hard things make us more like Jesus.
The coordinated terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93 killed nearly 3,000 Americans from all walks of life — and forever altered the course of American history and the New York skyline.
Today, the city and country — now dealing with horrors of a different kind from the COVID-19 pandemic — will pause to mark the 19th anniversary of the day of infamy, and honor the lives of victims killed in the attacks, and heroes who died attempting to save them. At the same time it's the anniversary of my baby brothers death and my sister-in-laws birthday. As I think of these events I think to myself it rains on the just and the unjust. We celebrate, we grieve, we win, we loose, but as Americans we go on. We learn. We get stronger. As Christians we hold on to our faith and we pray.
So, today this is short. As you listen to the video below (click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA0A3PA98zk or view in Browser if it does not show up) Then just Pray until the song ends. He is an awesome God. Then listen to hear what HE is saying to You. Then see action step below.
