I have been learning to look at my past through a different set of lenses. This is a journey I have been on for approximately two years. I am currently reading a great book called, "I Am Because We Are" An African Mother's Fight for the Soul of a Nation by Chidiogo Akunyili-Parr. It is a daughter telling the story of her mother, a pan-African hero who faced down misogyny and battled corruption in Nigeria. Her life story is making me realize that our past experiences can work for us. It is a wonderfully interesting book I plan to teach parts from at my WOW Intensive Raising Kings 2022.
