Here is the catch. When you complain switch the wristband to the other wrist and start again with day one. Eventually, you will get to day two. It may take months to get through 40 Days Complaint Free.
We don't raise morale, it trickles down from the top. I saw these bracelets, on a website by Jon Gordon and his book, "The No Complaining Rule." I realized it was to be a Thanksgiving Message. I thought there is no better way to be thankful, than to "Be Complaint Free." I must define that complaining is to express grief, pain or discontent. "Be Complaint Free" which is about learning to develop healthy communication skills. Will Bowen said he heard that, "Complaining is like bad breath--we only notice it when it comes out of other peoples mouths." These are the wristlets I handed out. Here was the catch, in order to be a part of the culture those present were to vow to take the challenge of being "Complaint Free", for the next 40 days. This would take us through January 2nd, 2020. Imagine being complaint free for 40 days? It will take us through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years without a complaint. I hope you enjoy this You Tube video. ACTION STEP: Watch how you start a conversation. Tell the truth. But start off with, "You may not be aware..." rather than complaining. Identify the person in charge that can change the situation and make it better. Complaining only keeps us focused on the problem not the solution. Take the Challenge! "Be Complaint Free!"
