It always amazes me that everything that is good is not God. In my younger years in Christ I could not understand why God would make something good and yet it be not be God, or good for me. This began in Genesis. Just reading the first book of the Bible was confusing. I mean as a parent why would I leave something lay around in front of my kids that look like good food and tell them not to eat it? Why not put it out of the child's reach? Why not put a legion of angels around the tree to keep the kids away from it? I was of the mind set if it feels good do it, if it taste good eat it, I was blind but now I see. God wanted us to chose to obey Him and that is to love Him.
Then I learned that I was a three part being. I learned that I am a spirit. I live in a body and I possess a soul. This was a life changing revelation that helped me to understand why I did the things I did. Why did I desire right and still do wrong? God began to reveal truth to me through the word of God as preached through my pastor. I would have never gotten it had I not had a teacher. I needed a pastor. I needed a church family. I still do. We all need these in our life if we are to learn how to live a successful, free and joyful life while on this earth.
This might be all new to you. If it is, trust me but also look it up for yourselves in the writings of Watchman Nee and in the word of God. If you have questions then find someone a little further along in Christ than you are and ask them to help you. In fact you may ask me questions here on this Blog and I will be happy to find you the answers. I am constantly learning myself. The Bible tells us to study the scriptures.
ACTION STEP: Get yourself some good books on whatever subject that you are struggling in or have questions. Always make sure the authors that you are reading from agree with the Bible. There are many sources but not all will lead you to everlasting life. Many will be deceived in the last days, but we don't have to be one of them. We can show ourselves approved, rightly dividing the word of God, which is truth. Then, once we know the truth we can share that truth with others. This is God's will for us.
