When life's a climb

When life seems all up hill and rough times suddenly appear out of no where just keep the faith.
Luke 3:5 (ESV) "Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways,"
When driving through my beautiful state of West Virginia headed in any direction the one thing I can count on is traveling through mountains. At times when I leave in the early morning the fog just beginning to lift you are surprised by the sudden appearance of the massive hillside that seems to appear out of no where. I will be headed to a certain destination and all of the sudden I have to slow way down and turn on my wipers just so I can barely see the road in front of me.  I turn on my head lights and pray others are doing the same. I am always grateful for another driver being in front of me so I have someone to follow.  I settle down and just follow from a safe distance behind until things level out and we get below the fog.

I know you've been there. Maybe not geographically, but spiritually, or emotionally, you've been there. You know the times that you've not been able to understand your spouse, or your child? The times your job seems over your head instead of under your feet? When your going along in life and get a report about your health or some one you love and the clouds set in and everything seems to be an uphill climb?

The "Rough Places" shall become level. That's the promise we have from the Word of God.

I like all genres of music. I am not endorsing all artist but sometimes the words of a secular song (if that's how you want to label them) can say so much my heart longs to say. I hope you don't "Throw the baby out with the bath water...", because if you do...you will miss the meaning of what I am trying to get across from my heart to yours. Life is an uphill battle. I am so grateful I never have to climb alone--and neither do you.
1 Peter 5:7 (ESV) "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
