Have you ever counted on someone or something and they failed you? It makes it very hard to trust or count on that person again. There is something about trust that once it is broken, it is very hard if not impossible to be repaired.
It's hard to drink out of a broken cup~and trust once trust is broken.
No where in the Bible does it say to trust man. The Bible tells us to love others, trust God. I tend to get these confused. When we get confused the best thing to do is go back to the Word. The Word always cleans our stinking thinking. Sometimes I have to jump in over my head into the word and stay there a while. I even need a little agitating motion like a washing machine or the Atlantic to get me good and clean. Then, I'm good for awhile, then I need another washing of the Word and I'm in the word daily. It's one thing to renew your mind, teach your spirit, learn something new and another thing to be washed in the Word.
ACTION STEP: If you've been disappointed in men? If you have had your heart broken for trusting in men? If you feel like your life, is as shattered as a broken cup, get into the Word of God. God will restore. God will heal. God will do what seems impossible with men, because with God all things are possible.
