John Maxwell said this, “Quitting is more about who you are than where you are.” Everyone faces difficulty when working toward a dream. And if someone fails, he can make excuses for what went wrong, how the unexpected happened, how someone let him down, how circumstances worked against him. But the reality is that the external things do not stop people.”
Well when I read that I thought to myself, “they sure stop me.” So I am learning I have to reframe failure. External things did not stop men and women of the Bible. When God told them to do something and they did it with all that was within their power, He came in and did the rest. Now if that can happen in the Old Testament then just think what can happen in the New Testament?
God told Moses to go deliver the people and when he came up against the impossible God opened it up and made it possible, the same with Daniel, Joseph, Esther and Ruth to name a few. We have to keep going. There is a greater One who is at work within us than he or what that is working against us. He is not about to quit on us. Decide today that you are not quitting either. Because of my spiritual DNA there is no quit in me.
1 John 4:4 (NIV) “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
