An observation I have made is the difference between the proof that a show horse has been in the yard compared to a work horse in the yard. You know what? You can’t tell the show pony has even been there. You can’t ignore the work horse has been there.
People are a lot like workhorses and show ponies. Some of us show up and we tear things up to get things done. I mean we dig in and do something. Others want to be a part of all the action but don’t want to get dirty or break a sweat. You want something done get yourself a work horse. Be a work horse. Sure things may look worse before they look better but you will be so glad you just did it.
The crucifixion got nasty. The Garden got sweaty. The whole tomb experience was well messy. But the Resurrection was beautiful! And Oh so worth it. If you want to remodel an old house things are gonna look really bad before they get beautiful, room by room the experience will be repeated. Then one day you have the house you always dreamed of.
So here’s the deal. The Holy Spirit is a work horse and He wants to remodel our house.
1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV) “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
