So Ruth gathered grain in the field until evening. And when she beat out what she had gleaned, it was about an ephah of barley. So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah.
Our goal is to make the best of the journey that we have ahead of us. I encourage you to journal your journey. Write down what your big "Ah Ha" moment that was in the middle of all you've come through. See, what your learning now, is for your teaching later. What your learning now, is for your connecting the pieces later. If you lose a piece of the puzzle now, it's hard to see the bigger picture. Too often we run ahead to the next level, dropping what we gleaned from the corners. When we were in our poor and pitiful state we thought what we had was not enough, only to find we need those pieces now. Our IQ went up because we learned something, but our EQ is still that of the wounded and neglected child. So, instead of acting like the beautiful, intelligent, confident, woman we are, we act like we think we are. That may be a poor pitiful woman or a proud imposter. Either way we have grow to be the original God created us to be, in order to fulfill the purposes for which we were created.
Glean the field your in and who knows? One day you may own that field.
