A Night of Fight.

1 Timothy 6:12
"Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."

When your in a good fight the thing to do is keep fighting. Never quit. No weapon formed against you can prosper. Be of good cheer, the battle belongs to the Lord so, just hold on and refuse defeat. The word of God clearly tells us that in this life we will have trials. But, this we know the prayer of the righteous prevails.

During this sabbatical from the RPM daily blog I am sure I will be learning and drawing close to God. JAmes 4:8-10 NKJV says when we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us. I believe that.

ACTION STEP: Take care of your health and be grateful each day for the little things. If your pain free then, praise God. If you have an appetite, then praise God. If you have all the energy in the world, well praise God. If you don't, then get prayer. Get into the word and let the word get in to you. We have one life to live, let's live it to the fullest. Live your dream life.

Romans 13:7
"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor."

ACTION STEP: Take time to remember the cost that was paid for your freedom today. Take time to visit a grave and place a flag or a wreath or some flowers. Take time to hold those you love a little tighter, a little longer. Give thanks to God for all He has given you and saved you from. Today remember....and give thanks.

Breaking Down the Key Parts of Matthew 28:20

#1 “and teaching them to obey everything…”
A disciple is a student, an apprentice. If you were to apprentice yourself to a master craftsman it would be to learn his trade. You would become like him in the way you accomplish the work. But in the case of Christ, the apprenticeship is to learn his nature and to take on his character. There is no part of his ways and instruction that should be left out. God has given us his Word to gain knowledge and wisdom, and he has given us his Spirit to empower the radical transformation of our nature and conformity to his likeness.
#2 “…I have commanded you.”
Jesus taught with the authority of God the Father. His commands are not suggestions for us to consider and to pick and choose from what we like. We lay down our lives to our Master and Savior for the purpose of dying to ourselves and living unto him (2 Cor 5:15; Gal 2:20; Luke 9:23).
#3 “And surely I am with you always,”
In Acts 2 we see the fulfillment of his promise to send the Helper, the Counselor, the Spirit of God who filled them, empowering them for life and ministry. Christians are never alone because we are always with the Holy Spirit, who lives in his people. It is fine to ask “what would Jesus do?” But the better question in our lives each moment is, “what is Jesus doing?” He continues his life and ministry through each one of us and through the Church collectively.
#4 “to the very end of the age.”
The current Church Age, begun with the ascension of Jesus into Heaven, will be the last before his return. Our orders are clear, even if in his patience he waits another 2000 years for his Church to evangelize a hurting and fallen world, he will never leave us nor forsake us (Josh 1:5).

ACTION STEP: Let everything else go and hold on to God. Don't lose your faith. You are never far from God, you may feel that you are. Feelings lie.

The time to prepare for war is not on the battlefield.

Ephesians 6:13
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."

When you find yourself surrounded by the enemy, there is a boldness in knowing you are prepared for battle. On the battlefield however, is not the place to find out what you don't know. For example, if your not winning souls now (which is a battle), and you are selfish, then when tough times come you will become more selfish. We are all in a war. When many go to battle to save our great nation, they fight that others may live. You and I must do the same. We must evangelize now to get people out of this world alive. Preparing for war is sacrificial. Soldiers don't have the same privileges as those that are not enlisted.

Still there are times like we are seeing in the Ukraine right now, where we can be thrown into battle unprepared. At these times we have to rely on what we know deep down on the inside of us. We must trust ourselves to the only one who can save us. This is why I have been sharing all week on reading your Bible and spending time with God. These times with our Lord and Savior will be the difference maker when we find ourself on the battlefield of life.

ACTION STEP: Prepare for war now. Prepare yourself for the battles of this life. Learn now how to live as a good soldier. We do not always get to pick our battles, sometimes they pick us.

"I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways."

How do we have the mind of Christ? Good question right? How do we have the mind of our best friend? Our husband? The answer is in who you spend your time with. Did you ever notice that when your children spend time with their friends, they start acting like their friends? Right?So the answer is simple start hanging out with Christ. And, how do we do that? ACTION STEP: Now that you viewed that clip, get that Bible out and that journal and start a timer for 15 minutes on your phone, and promise yourself your going to spend 15 uninterrupted minutes with the best friend you will ever have.

Joshua 1:8 ESV
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

This week, I am sharing how I read and study my Bible. Today, I am sharing with you, the journal I use. It is called the Scribe Bible Journal by Lyfebooks designed in Minneapolis. It is a simple, structured, journaling format that's backed by science to help you, get your quiet times done consistently and grow closer to God. They are a bit pricey but they are hardback, with a ribbon, and an elastic closure and has the same dimensions as a standard Bible.

Having a life routine really pays off as you age. Of course it has daily payoffs regardless of our age. Take brushing your teeth, easy to do and easy not to do. Brush daily and you have a beautiful smile now, and years from now you still have your teeth--and that beautiful smile. Daily habits have huge payoffs. Bad habits bring bad results, just the same as good habits bring good results. Probably my best habit is reading my word daily.

I also have an app. on my phone. It is a Bible app that has an alert that goes off at the times you set. I have mine set for both AM and PM. It has church bells that go off to alert me it's time to read my scripture. It is free. The icon is a little brown bible and includes YouVersion.

I hope this week helps you get into the Word of God, or helps you to get back in to the Word of God. Reading daily, journaling and praying won't fix everything in a day, but less things including yourself will be needing fixed. You can live the life of your dreams, because after all it is God that gives us the ability to dream.

Morning Meditation

Psalm 63:1
"You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water."

Glad to be back into my own bed and routine. Yes, I know we all have routines that change with the seasons of our life; but some things never need to change--like reading your Bible. Some routines are to be lifelong. One such routine is prayer, fasting and reading our Bible. Today, I will touch on Bible reading.

For years now I have been reading my Bible daily. The plans have changed, the payoffs increased and my life has been blessed. Sometimes I use a read the Bible through in a year plan, other times its chronological. Still I have read through the Bible every year since 1986. Some years I would read The Message version, other times the King James Version and then I worked my way through every translation I could get my hands on. My favorite study bible is still the one I share with you today on my video. Enjoy, as I share with you the many details of my favorite Bible.

Doors of opportunity.

“It happened in the spring of the year,
at the time when Kings go out to battle...”
(2 Samuel 11:1)
This is the prelude to one of the greatest failures in all of Scripture. When David’s armies went out to battle the king himself stayed behind. What resulted with Bathsheba and Uriah led to the king’s tragic downfall.

Make right choices when going through the doors of opportunity.

The harder you work to improve you, be obedient to God and invest in others, the more opportunities that will come your way. The decisions that will be needing made will multiply. Those decisions, those little choices will make big differences in your life. I love to listen to Podcast by Craig Groeschel and he says, "It's easy to eat the burger instead of the salad, and we may not notice the difference right away but that choice will have consequences." He is an example of being a great choice maker. Being a great choice maker causes people to want to follow you.

The world needs leaders like never before. Step up to the plate of life and hit sime choice home runs. How? By choosing to share your faith you can get people out of this world alive and on to heaven for eternity. People need to trust you to make that kind of decision with you. To get people to trust you become a great decision maker!

I have been learning to look at my past through a different set of lenses. This is a journey I have been on for approximately two years. I am currently reading a great book called, "I Am Because We Are" An African Mother's Fight for the Soul of a Nation by Chidiogo Akunyili-Parr. It is a daughter telling the story of her mother, a pan-African hero who faced down misogyny and battled corruption in Nigeria. Her life story is making me realize that our past experiences can work for us. It is a wonderfully interesting book I plan to teach parts from at my WOW Intensive Raising Kings 2022. 1 Timothy 2:6
"who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time."

This week I am taking advantage of the time I have and recording several vlogs for this week, and next. This is a choice I am making--to work while I have the time. We never know when our schedule will change because of a death of a friend or love one, or a birth of a child. People don't get to pick the day the come into this world, or usually the day they leave this world. We do know however, that our days are numbered and the only time we get to make choices is while we are here. So, make good ones.
