"Jesus said to him, “If you really want to be perfect, go immediately and sell everything you own. Give all your money to the poor and your treasure will be transferred into heaven. Then come back and follow me for the rest of your life.”
Sorry this is a little late. It's only 9:15AM but the Blog posts at 9AM. I have my two little men with me and our walk together, took longer than I expected. We kept having a rock in our shoe. Interesting, that a small thing can make such a big problem. It reminded me of the man that wanted to know how to get in to heaven. He believed he had done everything necessary to prepare for his journey. However, Jesus knew there was one small problem. The man had a rock in his soul. That rock was greed. The rock of money was hindering his journey. Jesus told him to go sell all he had. This rock in his soul was going to keep him from his destiny, or at least perhaps delay him. Rocks in our soul can hurt. They can cause a sudden stop. Matthew 19:21 TPT "Jesus said to him, “If you really want to be perfect, go immediately and sell everything you own. Give all your money to the poor and your treasure will be transferred into heaven. Then come back and follow me for the rest of your life.” "Then." Then, is such a big word. It means that we need to take an action before anything else transpires. It is much like the word "If." If and then are two words that God uses frequently. Over and over again in scripture we find that those two words are like rocks in our shoes; they either hinder our walk or stop us all together. ACTION STEP: What is hindering you from following Jesus? What is the "Rock" in your shoe? Whatever it is, take the time today to get it out. Sure, it may slow you down a bit, but those that love you--won't mind waiting.

The last day Christian understands that we have always had pastors. However, some of the other offices God has place in the church for the maturing of the saints has been a little bit more misunderstood or vague. I hope this teaching I did last night helps. (The message is linked below for your listening pleasure.) What does a pastor do? They Guard God’s people. They walk in love. The church moved on and from the 1700’s until 1960 we had the age of the Evangelist. What does an Evangelist do? They are the hand of God, they Gather. They get people saved. They are the hand of God and do signs and wonders. But God kept moving on. From 1960-1980 we had the teachers. Teachers Ground people. Joyce Meyers, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Oral Roberts. They give the doctrine of the Bible and ground people in truth. At the beginning of 1990’s we had the restoration of the Prophets. Prophets give Guidance. They are pointers. The prophets offer the mind of God. In this day and age, we are at the stage of the Apostle. The Apostle Governs. An apostle is a father/mother. He establishes the church and shows the heart of God. ACTION STEP: This is what God is doing right now. God is raising up spiritual parents to mentor a last-day army of prote’ge’s. Last day Christians need to make sure they are in a church, that has the prophetic and apostolic, flowing in their lives to release their gifts; and then they can move on. For part #7 Message on The Overcoming Christian Today click here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9G6iNWX48g In the Bible 3 represents several things: 1. Restoration. Prophetically the last-day Christian must understand that every denomination is a truth that was lost but has been restored.
We are in the last of the restoration. Jesus cannot return until the restoration of all things. God is restoring the Prophet and the Apostle back into the Body where they belong. (Tomorrow I will write more on this.) Ephesians 2:19-20 NKJV “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,” 2. Resurrection God is saying to you today, Whatever your dead dreams were, whatever your dead desires were, it’s time to resurrect them. God is going to rapture you in fulfillment of what I’ve called you to do. You will be everything God calls you to be. Whatever your dead dreams were, your dead desires were, it is time to resurrect them. It is time to reread the things you wrote down, and to ask God to show God to show you the desires you had a few years ago. You want to go into eternity hearing, “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord. It is time to be a finisher! If you failed to start or failed to finish now is the time. Today is the day. 3. Revival. The last day Christian moves in revival. He or she functions in the gifts of the Spirit. They function in their Gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are being used, because if you don’t use it you and I will lose it. They are in God’s will and their assigned place. 4. Approval. This is the day of the end of rejection and the beginning of acceptance. This is the end of feeling sorry for ourselves. This is where the mentality of “What are they going to think of us?” The last day Christian understands the number 3 means, “Well done thy good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your salvation.” 5. Completion. John 2 I asks for the musicians to come forward. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”4 “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet. ”They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” Son help them. Then Mary tells the servants, Whatever Jesus says to you, you have to do. The wine that was served was better wine. We are in the third day, so this story teaches us that the greatest revelations are going to come now. ACTION STEP: We are all called of God. We are all born into the world for such a time as this. I can't emphasize this enough, "Do whatever God tells you to do." It may seem like an impossible task but with God all things are possible. When we get a revelation of who God is, we can have a revival in this nation and in our world. Look to Father God for your approval. Do everything you do as unto the Lord.

The mistakes of the past must be realized and corrected to guarantee a better future. Don’t be like everybody else on the roller coaster of our culture and you won’t reap what everybody else gets. God never checks your past to determine your future. The only time God has you look into your past is when you have: 1. Unresolved conflict. 2. A bad harvest. When something bad happens ask God, “What did I do to cause this?” Am I reaping something I’ve sown? If I did I want to make it right. The quicker you make it right the quicker your harvest will change. The Bible says, in 1 Sam. 30:1 NKJV “Now it happened when David and his men came to Ziklag of the third day. Not the fourth or the 2nd day but the 3rd day. As prophetic Christians we understand we are living in the 3rd day of God’s sovereign calendar. It was the 3rd day Jesus arose….then look with me to Hosea 6:1-2 “Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will [a]bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.” Now look at 2 Peter 3:8 “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” So, remember after two days, after two thousand years God will revive us. Revival is coming worldwide. We are living in the end days. But on the 3rd day, Resurrection is coming. We will be raptured out of here. The first 2 thousand years have already gone by. The next thousand years will be the Reign of the Lord. ACTION STEP: If things aren't going well, pray and ask God what, if any part did you play in the situation. If the Lord shows you anything repent quickly. God will hear you and cleanse you. God will hear our prayers for our nation. God wants to revive us all and He wants us to reign with Him.
Ziklag is a place of human mistakes. 1 Samuel 27: 6-7 "So Achish (his name means anger) gave him Ziklag that day. Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day. Now the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was one full year and four months" David knew better. The Philistines were the enemy. Goliath was a Philistine. Don't move in with the enemy you once defeated. Nothing is free when it's from the devil! David loses everything in a place called Ziklag. The attack from the enemy is coming from every side to try to disarm Gods children. Christians have forgotten to occupy until Jesus comes. Society is doing its very best to emphasize that Christians should be quiet, less we offend someone--and that is secular Christianity which is the "new norm." The Apostle Paul warned Timothy of these days in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “Don’t be naïve. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches people are going to be self-absorbed, money hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderous, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated, windbags, addicted to lust and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they are animals. Stay clear of people.” The Message Today, we can see similarities of our battle in the story of a "future king", David when he loses everything at a place called Ziklag. Six things we can see about David that we need to have to be an Overcomer in this day.
Corth. 10:3-5 NKJV “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” David killing Goliath shows us that through the enabling power of God we are David and the giant is whatever we are confronting. Jesus through us can kill that giant by His grace and power. Without him we can do nothing. Without us He won’t. 6. Is a Worshipper and a Praiser. Not afraid to lift their hands, shout and dance. Praise is when you thank God for what He has done. Worship is when you thank God for who He is. Demons flee because of our intimacy with the Lord and our obedience. Mark 4:23-25 “ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” The more you obey the more God will give you. Great discernment and greater anointing. Deliverance anointing comes from a higher form of obedience and discipleship. Many times the battles of our present are the seeds of our past. If the video does not show up below click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8TkUMJtK5k. Or you can view this Blog in your Browser or at RPMDaily.net This is a problem with my server. I am trying to get if resolved. Thank you for your patience. ACTION STEP: Turn this music video on and as you let it minister to you read the 6 things we need to walk in to be an Overcoming Christian in this day and time in which we live. If you have time you can listen to my message from yesterday here: https://youtu.be/fuKkclmiLVE I will finish this message this coming Sunday with part 2 of "The Spirit of an Overcoming Last Day Christian"EP: 1 Samuel 21:13 "And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard." I have never been in the military, but the training they receive intrigues me; especially Special Forces or the Navy Seals. Whatever the problem , you improvise and you overcome. David improvised; he became a crazy man and winds up with the city of Ziklag. But, David lied. I love his creativity. We need to be creative. Am I saying we need to be crazy? I am. We need to be crazy in love with Jesus, enough to do whatever it takes to overcome. I believe the days we are living in are going to demand us to change our behavior, to adapt and improvise in order to overcome. David's one goal was to take back what the enemy stole. He was determined to take back what the enemy stole. If we want to take back what the enemy has stolen, our family, our finances, to overcome distress and misunderstandings--then we are ready to seek God like never before. Do I think we are to lie? No. David understood the Spirit of the Lord and not just the letter of the law. He knew the Lord wanted true holiness. David knew that most cultures respect insane people; crazy people. Instead of dying, he adapts and overcomes. ACTION STEP: Right now, during these troubling times, status quo is not going to cut it. We need a word from God. The entire life of David is a rollercoaster of sin and repentance, obedience and ingenuity, murder and love. We are all in this together. Let's not throw stones at the leaders in our lives, but in all our actions do our part to bring the victory. Learn from the word of God to adapt and overcome, recover all!
Today, I choose to make memories and capture the moment. My grandsons and I are off to pick Blueberries. We found a great place in our area that you can pick and eat at the same time. No need to wash. Just like when I was a kid. Organic blueberries are the best! If you are interested here is the link: https://blueberry-ridge-farms.business.site/ This is the second year I will be taking my lil men. My oldest one remembers last year. The littlest one will have the experience all over again. Start where you are. Today is the day the Lord has made so rejoice in it! ACTION STEP: Today, I challenge you to make just one memory. No matter what your stage in life it is never too early or late to make the moment count.
Having something to look forward to keeps me going. I can run the hamster wheel as good as anyone. But, sooner or later I am going to burnout with no reward. Even Jesus endured, for the JOY that was set before Him. We all need some JOY set before us. With schools shut down, vacations cancelled and social distancing--we need to re-create even if our recreation plans had to be cancelled. I pray as you read this today, you are encouraged to challenge yourself and those you love, to find ways to connect and have fun, to reward yourself for enduring. It will not always be like this. Every generation has had their war to fight. This is ours. It is not an enemy we can see like wars before us, but never-the-less, it is our war. It's stealing, killing and destroying all we love, enjoy, and even need. Don't let it steal your JOY too. What are you hoping for? When you know the Lord you can hope for anything, because you know that God is capable of doing anything. Split the Red Sea, Rain Manna from Heaven, walk on water, raise the dead, all possible because of God. Now, is the worst time to be an unbeliever, because without hope we become weak and weary. Just see the above scripture in Isaiah 40:31 and read it backwards. See? We have to hope in the Lord! When we are up against the Red Sea--God is up to something! If He brings us to it--He will bring us through it! ACTION STEP: Be creative. Ask yourself, "What can I do? What can we do? Where can we go? What are the options and possibilities?" Don't complain about what you can't do. No one wants to wonder around in the desert for forty years. So, why complain? Go camping. Rent a kayak or a pontoon. Purchase three or four children's inflatable pools, and clean up the house and yard. Then, have each member of the family make their favorite dish and have a picnic outside with just the family--but pretend, you have a yard full of friends, so everyone will be on their best behavior and treat one another as guests. "May I get you a refill?" "So glad you are here." Come on, we are born with an imagination, and this is just one of many of life's challenges. We can all get through this. Make memories. I am praying for you that you begin to live with the spirit of expectation that something good is going to happen. Romans 8:28 "God makes all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose." 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." As a part of God’s family, I’m… 1. Acceptable. “You are a chosen people.” One of the greatest needs that people have is acceptance. We want people to like us and include us in their group. People struggle for years to get the acceptance of their parents, colleagues, peers, friends, etc… As a child of God, you are accepted by God. God chose you. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what color your skin is, whether you’re male or female, rich or poor, etc…; Jesus died for you. “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” We can be accepted by God through the blood of Jesus. It is through Jesus’ blood that we are justified. God sees us just as we had never sinned. As a part of God’s family, I’m… 2. Valuable. “You are God’s special possession.” Not only are you accepted by God; but you are valuable to God. How much do you think you are worth? Now before you answer, I’m not talking monetarily. What determines value? There are 2 things that determine value in life: It depends on what somebody is willing to pay for something. How much is your house worth? Not as much as you think it is and probably not as much as it was a year ago. Your house is worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. No more. It depends on who has owned it in the past. Sometimes somebody who has owned something makes it valuable. For example, would a car owned by Elvis Pressley probably be more valuable than a car you owned? I read about a pair of sticky, smelly, and worn out shoes that sold for $7,000 at an auction because they happened to be owned by Michael Jordan. Often, if somebody who is well known owns something, then that gives it additional value. Based on these 2 things, what's your value? Ask yourself, “Who owns me” and “What was paid for me”? "You've been bought and paid for by Christ." You belong to Him. Jesus paid for you with His life. God is building a spiritual house, (the Church) on the foundation of Jesus Christ and He is using each of His children as living stones. God loves the Church so much that He died for it. Just as clarification, Jesus died for us, not just our sins. Many of our youth are struggling with this concept- They know that Jesus died for their sins; but that’s it. We are made in the image of God; but because of sin, we find ourselves separated from God. When Jesus paid the price for us on the cross, it was so that He could buy us back from eternal death. As a part of God’s family, I’m… 3. Capable. “You are a royal priesthood.” In the Old Testament, priests did 2 things: They had the right, privilege and responsibility to go directly to God. They could pray to God, talk to God, worship, and fellowship. Everybody else had to go through a priest. The priest went one-on-one with God. The priest had the privilege and responsibility of representing God to the people and serving the needs of other people. Those are the very 2 things that are true of you when you become a believer. You have a right now to go directly to God- Direct access. You don't have to pray through anybody else. You don't have to confess through anybody else. You don't have to fellowship with God through anybody else. God says, “You have a direct line now”. You yourself are a priest. You have just as much right to go before God as I do or anybody else. The Bible says that when Jesus died on the cross there was this veil in the Temple that separated the Holy of Holies where God's Spirit was from where man was. Only priests could go behind that veil, once a year. When Jesus died on the cross, God ripped that veil from top to bottom, symbolizing there is no more barrier. The word "priest" in Latin means "bridge". The priest is a bridge builder between God and man. God says you're that now. God says you have been gifted for ministry to serve other people. Every Christian is a minister. Anytime you're using your talents and gifts to help others you are ministering. He saved us and chose us for His holy work. You are saved to serve. Don’t forget that you are only capable through Christ. In your own power, you will always fail. As a part of God’s family, I’m… 4. Forgivable. 1 Peter 2:10 (NIV) “Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” Mercy is not getting what you deserve. What we deserve is eternal punishment; but because God loves us so much, He paid the price for us and gives us grace. We are forgiven. You matter to God. Don’t let things get you down. Don’t let people think you don’t matter. God died for you. Don’t be discouraged. Don't let others be alone in their torment either. ACTION STEP: Everyone wants to know they matter. Tell them. Show them. When someone is hurting reach out. Maybe just sit with them. Listen to them. I know you've heard it all before, but maybe they need to say it until they are empty of it. Maybe they have a hole that needs filled. You and I can make a huge difference in someones life. Will it cost us? It sure will. But, the benefit will far outweigh the cost. Be the one who takes the first move, that's what leaders do. Access to peoples lives is always a privilege. Take the time to look people in the eyes today and let them know: I see you. You matter. You are not alone.
Good Morning, Readers. I pray you enjoyed your Freedom Day. Yesterday, was hot, sunny and still a nice breeze. Perfect for picnics and "social gatherings." In lieu of the Pandemic, many are taking it to the outdoors. Parks and Trails are becoming as crowded as Malls. Nevertheless, I thought you would enjoy learning a little about a place in my hometown of Fairmont, West Virginia. It is odd, because one usually doesn't find a water falls in a valley. Usually, you find falls at the top of a hill or mountainside. These are tucked away in the lowest valley. Which always gets me thinking about the things of God. In our valleys of life, we can find refreshing. We can find cleansing, and we can find serenity. After traveling downhill a little over a mile, you come to a small private lake community. After going around the community, you turn off to the left and continue your decent. Down through the dark lush forest, you finally come to the falls just on the other side of the railroad tracks. No one would seemingly look for this type of scenery across the tracks, but there they are. The sound of rushing water, washes out the sound of an on coming train. It's interesting to me just how loud the Falls can be. The falls in life seemingly drown out all that is peaceful and we find ourselves in a place of turmoil, twisting and rolling into the rapids of emotions. See, in my valleys of life I have always had a hard time hearing. I become so preoccupied with the valley, I fail to hear the powerful voice of God. With everything rushing around me at one time, and the feeling of being pinned in by my circumstances, I want to run like the bubbling, ragging circumstances around me. So, why do I prefer to sit on the rock and just be still here in this hidden place? Because, I came to the valley by choice. I am in control. I decide how close to the edge I get. I am the one who gets to decide when to come and when to go. Oh, that life were like these Falls. We could decide the twist and turns and drop-offs of our days. But, we are not in control. God decides our valley moments. God decides our hills and our mountain top experiences. When we walk away from God and try to control our own lives we lose. We experience trials that God never intended for us. We get so close to the edge that many times we fall, only to find ourselves in a worst situation. God orders our steps. God numbers our days. God decides our times for they are in His hands. ACTION STEP: Take time to stop, look and listen. The things we learn the first few years of life really does matter. We are not animals and yet often times they are smarter than we are. When they are frightened, many times they stop. They give us the "Deer in the headlights" look and stand. Not people. We run harder and faster never looking at where we are going. The Bible tells us, "...be still and know." Take time to stop today. If things are rushing around you, listen to His still small voice. Our Father wants us to hear Him. Our Savior gave His life for us, what more could He do? The One who created the Falls in life, can safely hold us in His hands. He has got this. He has got the Pandemic, the economy, the racial divisions, the leaders of nations and nothing is too hard, or too big for Him. Now, sit and rest.
